No chance to see Sakura in my born place
Kanazawa is my born place. A lot of memories are there. My parents were also born and grew up there, entering Kanazawa university, of which campus was located at Kanazawa castle in past time. Then they moved into Kanagawa pre. for my father’s job. Thus they brought me into Kanazawa many times during summer, winter and spring vacation. But I’ve never seen Sakura in Kanazawa in that time at all. Because in case of Japan’s schools, the new semester start just at cherry blossom season. I must stay in Kakanagawa in any Spring season during my elementary to high school age. Then I joined university in Hokkaido. So I didn’t get any chance to see Sakura in my young age.
Situation change
But the situation changed. For my job issue, My wife and I moved from Funabashi, Chiba into Kyoto in 2015. It was the new nice situation. Because I can go to Kanazawa from Kyoto just only with Thunderbird limited express train, although the train system is changing now ( Thunderbird express train + Hokuriku Shinkansen). Then another big change happened in 2020. I change job. And get more business trip into Fukui and Toyama. Kanazawa is just between Fukui and Toyama.
So now I have more opportunity to go Kanazawa even in March and April.
Cherry blossom in 2025
Even if I have more chance, sometime situation never allow to go to Kanazawa so often by various reasons. However this year 2025, I could get the chance to stay Kanzawa in Apr 12th.
