I enjoy early bird JP sweets as usual in weekend.

Japanese Marron cake from Hikone

Recently I frequently visit Northern side of Shiga prefecture, along the lake of Biwa in Japan as business trip. Not so crowded.
Hikone is one of frequent visit spot for me. Then found out nice JP Cake there.

It’s Kurinomi pie (栗の実 pie) produced by Kashin Ohsuga (菓心おおすが). We can find out whole one piece of Japanese chestnut. Normally the husk is taken out. But I think the cake maker remain it on purpose to create the nice and unique taste with the sweet ingredients and white bean paste. The aspect has sliced almond. The texture and crispy taste is nice accent.

Tabinone (旅の音)

With nice JP Sweet, always enjoy nice Espresso too. This time selected Mandheling Tobako from Tabinone.

It’s one of nice Roastery and Cafe in Kyoto. My wife and I like Mandelhin Tobako. The rich flavor of the Espresso accelerated by the high quality beans is nice for relaxation.
